American Jewish World Service:  American Jewish World Service (AJWS) is an international development organization motivated by Judaism’s imperative to pursue justice. AJWS is dedicated to alleviating poverty, hunger and disease among the people of the developing world regardless of race, religion or nationality. Through grants to grassroots organizations, volunteer service, advocacy and education, AJWS fosters civil society, sustainable development and human rights for all people, while promoting the values and responsibilities of global citizenship within the Jewish community

Best Friends Animal Society: A better world through kindness to animals
For more than two decades, Best Friends Animal Society has been dedicated to the simple philosophy that kindness to animals builds a better world for all of us.

The sanctuary at Angel Canyon, at the heart of the Golden Circle of national parks in southern Utah, is home on any given day to about 2,000 dogs, cats, and other animals, who come from shelters and rescue groups around the country for the special care they can only receive at Best Friends. The sanctuary is also a destination for 30,000 visitors and volunteers each year.

Brave Kids: This website for children with chronic or life-threatening illness offers a comprehensive database of service providers that can be searched by zip code and/or need category. Information is currently being gathered for southern California therapists, financial assistance, transportation services, medical equipment suppliers, support groups and more. Visit the family message board, a "Kid's Corner" of games, contests and activities, and an on-line store offering videos, books, toys and adaptive devices.

Camp Hope: A free weekend camp for children, ages 6 to 16, who have experienced the loss of a significant loved one.

Camp Opehay: A collaboration between the Youth Bipolar Foundation of Northern California, Stanford University's Pediatric Bipolar Program and Clinic, and the Taylor Family Foundation.

Camp Taylor: Offers several free programs for young people and families of children with heart disease. Their flagship program is medically supervised free residential summer camp sessions.

Direct Relief International: Direct Relief International provides medical assistance to improve the quality of life for people victimized by poverty, disaster, and civil unrest at home and throughout the world. This organization works to strengthen the in-country health efforts of our partners by providing essential material resources – medicines, supplies and equipment.


Drawbridge: The mission of DrawBridge is to provide art programs for homeless and other vulnerable children in an environment that fosters their sense of joy, creativity and exuberance.

EngenderHealth.org:  A leading international reproductive health organization working to improve the quality of healthcare in the world’s poorest communities.  It empowers people to make informed choices about contraception, trains health professionals to make motherhood safer, promotes gender equity, enhances the quality of HIV and AIDS services, and advocates for positive policy change.  This nonprofit organization works in partnership with governments, institutions, communities, and health care professionals in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.  For 65 years, EngenderHealth has reached more than 100 million people to help them realize a better life.

Exceptional Needs Network: Founded by parents of special needs children. ENN’s goal is to find novel ways to help families of special needs children in the Tri-Valley region of the Francisco Bay Area.

Global Fund for Women: The Global Fund for Women is a nonprofit grantmaking foundation that advances women's human rights worldwide. A network of women and men, we raise funds from a variety of sources and make grants to women-led organizations that promote the economic security, health, safety, education and leadership of women and girls. Grantees, donors, advisors, board and staff are united in the belief that ensuring women's full equality and participation in society is one of the most effective ways to build a just, peaceful and sustainable world.

Harambee Arts: Partners with African grassroots programs to train local caregivers to provide art programs for vulnerable children in an environment that fosters their sense of joy, creativity and exuberance.

Kara Foundation: A nonprofit organization serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 1976. Our services are provided primarily by volunteers who have experience in healing from personal loss. They are trained to accompany others on their journey through a life-threatening illness and/or bereavement. There is no charge for Kara's services.

MADRE: an international women’s human rights organization that works in partnership with community-based women's organizations worldwide to address issues of peace building, women’s health, violence against women, and economic and environmental justice. MADRE provides resources, training, and support to enable our sister organizations to meet concrete needs in their communities and develop long-term solutions to the crises they face.

Move America Forward:  a non-partisan, non-profit, charitable organization co-founded in 2004 by Melanie Morgan a talk show host from San Francisco. MAF is committed to supporting America’s brave troops and their missions to keep America safe, secure, and free. We believe our armed forces are our greatest security asset, and furthermore deserve our utmost respect and admiration.
 
Move America Forward has organized several national tours to support the troops with rallies in dozens of cities across the country and produced television and radio ad campaigns. MAF even organized several trips to Iraq to tell the American people about the great work that our troops are doing there, as well as bring our message of thanks and support directly to the troops themselves.

Rising International:  Rising promotes ownership of craft-based businesses by women in impoverished areas of developed nations, and, globally, in developing nations. Our focus is primarily on women in the highest risk situations such as those in refugee camps, those with HIV/AIDS, homeless women, displaced immigrants, former slaves, or those in war-torn regions.

Soccer for Hope: Brings hope to children with life threatening illnesses through financial support, while fostering educational benefits and awareness in the local soccer community.

The Carrot Project: a not-for-profit organization dedicated to making loans and guarantees available and exploring equity options for small- and midsized farmers, limited-resource farmers, and those using ecologically friendly practices.

The Carrot Project envisions a U.S. farm sector that is diversified by size and type of farm enterprise. Thriving small and midsized farms are critical for regional food security, and have significant positive impacts on local economies, the social fabric of rural communities, and the natural environment

The Children's Oncology Group: CureSearch unites the world's largest childhood cancer research organization, the Children's Oncology Group, and the National Childhood Cancer Foundation through our mission to cure childhood cancer.

The Taylor Family Foundation: The mission of The Taylor Family Foundation (TTFF) is to preserve the wellness and enhance the quality of life for children in Northern California with life-threatening illnesses, disabilities and youth at-risk through unique, therapeutic experiences & support.


We Can: We Can is a parent-initiated pediatric brain tumor network that serves greater Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay area. Our network includes families who have experienced end-of-life care, death and bereavement.

Women Thrive Worldwide: is the leading non-profit shaping policies that help women around the world lift their families out of poverty. Worldwide, women are at the greatest risk of being poor. Moreover, women in poor countries are more likely to spend income on food, healthcare and education for their children - creating a positive cycle of growth that lifts entire communities out of poverty.
